Meet David R. Cornwell, DDS
Dr. David Cornwell was born and raised in Woodburn, Oregon. He attended South Oregon College in Ashland before going on to Northwestern University Dental School. As soon as he graduated in 1978, he set up his own dental practice in Gloucester, Massachusetts. He later moved his practice to its present location in Danvers in 1986 and renamed it Chestnut Green Dental.
Over the past few decades since the establishment of his practice, Dr. Cornwell has been an active participant in continuing education courses; particularly in cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, and lasers. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the World Congress of Microdentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Laser Dentistry, and the International Congress of Implants.
In addition to practicing dentistry, Dr. Cornwell is also a professional stone artist and works out of his own studio, Cornwell Stone Art, in Park City, Utah. He makes use of his prior training as a stained glass artist to experiment with ways to cut and shape granite, marble, onyx, and stone tiles. His materials are thoughtfully selected to draw out the characteristics of the subjects he uses, which are usually inspired by themes in nature. As a fly fishing enthusiast, trout is one of his favorite subjects as he enjoys mimicking its magnificent colors using the natural patterns in granite.
Dr. Cornwell’s art has been selected to show in exhibitions and art shows around Utah, such as the Kimball Art Festival, the Utah Art Festival, St. George Art Festival, and others.
